Multi-Dimensional: Stop, and Romanticize It All

Happy Sunday!

I hope the week has been treating you well and that you’re carving out some time today just for you.

My emotions tend to ebb and flow week to week, as I’m sure yours do too. But this week has felt especially light, like a breath of fresh air. I think, in part, because I finally decided to allow it to be.

Lately, I’ve been trying to romanticize my life. And I don't mean in an aesthetic, highlight-reel kind of way, but in the way I see the details of my days and the ups and downs of my journey. It's kind of fun to look at life like a movie, where we get to be the main character fully present in each scene.

This week I challenge you to try falling in love with the life that’s already yours, one small moment at a time. Romanticizing is really just about remembering that life isn’t something to rush through, it’s something to experience.

Below are 6 journal prompts for you to explore, one for each dimension of your perspective.

Personal History

Think about a past version of you that found joy in small things. What did they notice that you don’t anymore?

Environment

If your life was a movie, how would you describe the setting?

Beliefs

What would you believe about the world if you saw it through rose-colored glasses?

Emotions

How do you think it would feel to live inside a rom-com? Not necessarily for the love story, but for the way the main character feels alive in each moment? When in your life do you feel those feelings the most?

Relationships

When was the last time you truly savored a moment with someone you love, without distractions, without rushing? What did it feel like to be fully there?

Identity

There’s a trend that has been floating around online recently.

“If you were the main character in a movie, what would the audience be screaming at you to do?”

Maybe that’s your cue.

Until next week,
