Multi-Dimensional: Slowing down, honoring winter, and learning from anger

Happy Sunday!

Below are 6 journal prompts for you to explore, one for each dimension of your perspective.

Personal History

Tomorrow, today will become a part of your history.

What is one thing you want your future self to remember about who you are right now?

Environment

Just as seasons in nature are essential, so are seasons in our lives. This year, one of my goals was to learn from my environment, to be mindful of the earth’s natural rhythms and align my efforts with them, instead of resist them. We’ve officially entered winter—a season when many plants and animals rest, conserve energy, and adapt to colder conditions.

What parts of your life are calling for rest and renewal right now?

Beliefs

For many, the holiday season is a time to reflect on and honor personal beliefs and values.

What practices, rituals, or meaningful moments during this time resonate with your beliefs and hold significance for you?

Emotions

Anger is an emotion that is often dismissed as irrational and unproductive, but like every other emotion, it serves a purpose. Anger tells you that something is in the way, that you are blocked from something vital.

What has been making you angry? How can you use the messages of anger to break through your barriers?

Relationships

Taking time to connect is productive.

In the busyness of life, with its endless work and responsibilities, it’s easy to overlook the importance of slowing down to simply be and connect with others. Yet, it’s these moments of connection that truly nurture the soul.

Are you making time for friendship and meaningful bonding? Who brings you joy and fills your cup?

Identity

Belong to you, first.

This phrase has been echoing in my mind lately. While it sounds simple in theory, it’s one of the hardest things to truly live by.

Do you feel like you’ve learned to belong to yourself? If not, what’s holding you back? If you have, what’s helped you along the way?

Until next week,
