Multi-Dimensional: Don't forget to celebrate!

Happy Sunday!

I hope you enjoyed the holidays and are giving yourself a moment to settle in before the week ahead.

This week’s theme is celebration.

A few nights ago, I was winding down and writing in my journal. It had been a long day, and my mind was racing with everything I still needed to do tomorrow… and the day after that... and the day after that. I felt overwhelmed, and almost a little defeated, thinking about how much work it would still take to bring my idea to life. I kept feeling like I had come so far, yet somehow never far enough.

Halfway through my entry, a very important question crossed my mind:

What’s the point of it all if I never stop to celebrate?

I realized I was journaling in something I had created! Something that exists because I showed up for it, and even though I still have a very long way to go, I let myself feel proud.

Then yesterday, I received a new product sample in the mail. It’s something I’ve been working on for months (I can’t wait to share it with you!) and this time I did something different:

I celebrated.

I let myself
enjoy the moment instead of rushing past it.

A celebration is simply an acknowledgment, of the moment, the milestone, the evolution. The keyword here is acknowledgement.

Acknowledge how far you’ve come.
Acknowledge what you’ve built.
Acknowledge the version of you who kept going.
Acknowledge anything that makes you feel proud.

Let this week be a celebration of you!

Below are 6 journal prompts for you to explore, one for each dimension of your perspective.

Personal History

Holidays are the celebration of pivotal moments in history. We celebrate independence, new beginnings, parents, love, service, culture, community, and the experiences that bring us together. If you look at the history of your life, what holidays would you create to celebrate your milestones and personal evolution?

Environment

How can you create an environment that makes it easier to recognize your small wins?

Beliefs

What beliefs shape the way you acknowledge your progress? Which beliefs limit your ability to celebrate yourself?

Emotions

What are some ways you can let feelings like joy, excitement, or pride linger a little longer?

Relationships

How do you celebrate the people around you, and how do they celebrate you?

Identity

We celebrate anniversaries to honor the day we joined with someone else. What a day or time frame feels like your personal anniversary, the moment you reunited with yourself?

Until next week,
