Multi-Dimensional: Creation, Care, and the Age-Old Question — More or Less?

I hope you have had a beautiful week!

Below are 6 journal prompts for you to explore, one for each dimension of your perspective.

Personal History

"Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get." — H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

How does your life today reflect the care you received as a child? As you think about members of your family, how do you see this reflected in them as well?

Environment

Last year, I felt like I wanted more from my environment—more things, more stimulation, more change. Lately, I've found myself wanting less. This version of me is craving simplicity from the spaces I occupy.

As you take in the space around you, do you feel the need to add or to subtract?

Beliefs

It’s baffling to me how belief can be one of the strongest forces on earth, yet simultaneously so fragile—so easily dulled or destroyed. Whether it's belief in ourselves or in something external, it's something we must actively fight to preserve.

How do you fight to preserve your belief when it feels fragile?

Emotions

When I think about the emotions I strive to feel, contentment isn’t usually at the top of the list. I tend to chase feelings like excitement, joy, or inspiration.

Contentment doesn't sound nearly as glamorous, but there’s something deeply fulfilling about the feeling of pure satisfaction—even if only for a moment.

When was the last time you felt content?

Relationships

True connections are formed when we feel seen in our humanity.

What makes you feel seen?

Identity

Whether or not you see yourself as an artist, we are all creators in our own way. To create is to bring a piece of our perspective—our heart, mind, and soul—into existence. It’s a way to share who we are with those around us.

When was the last time you allowed yourself to create?

Until next week,
