Multi-Dimensional: A collision of two worlds, which wolf will you feed?

Below are 6 journal prompts for you to explore, one for each dimension of your perspective.

Personal History

With each new life come a collision of two worlds, a blending of perspectives, beliefs, values, and experiences.

Think about your parents. How would you describe the two distinct worlds that came together to create you?

Environment

Think about the places you keep coming back to—physically or in memory.

What draws you there? What version of yourself exists in that space?

Beliefs

Beliefs are a revolving door of perspectives, shaped by experience. Experiences are your greatest teachers.

What was the last experience that significantly shifted your beliefs?

Emotions

This week has been full of duality for me.

I’ve felt deep joy, excitement, and anticipation, yet I’ve also been unexpectedly triggered by certain situations—finding myself facing big emotions head-on.

In the midst of it all, I came across an old Cherokee legend that gave me something to reflect on: The Tale of Two Wolves.

The Tale of Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, forgiveness, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

____

Which wolf are you feeding?

Relationships

Focus on who is there, rather than who isn't. It is liberating to shift your perspective to presence over absence, gratitude over longing.

Who in your life shows up for you, and how can you show up for them in return?

Identity

We are a mystery to ourselves. That is why we spend so much time self-discovering.

Is there anything you have recently discovered or learned about yourself?

Until next week,
